Hoy la asamblea General de la OEA ha acordado derogar las sanciones al gobierno de Cuba anulando una resolucion tomada en 1962.Es una correcion necesaria.Aunque no guste no era necesario tomar una medida tan drastica que luego no se mantuvo con regimenes que tambien
atentaron contra los derechos humanos en las decadas de los 70 y 80.El peligro de mantenerla era la division de la OEA.Es de esperar que de ahora en adelante el organismo tenga un equilibrio de poderes donde no exista un peso tan desproporcionado de USA.De no cambiar su manera de operar existe el peligro que sea reamplazada por otra.El Alba o Onasur pueden ser opciones.Tambien abre el camino a la disidencia cubana que demande a la Comision de derechos Humanos transparentar el asunto de los derechos humanos en la isla.Incluso como imagen no es bueno tener la sede de ella en USA.Tambien alli està la OEA,es como si la sede de la Union Europea estuviera en California.Es un asunto de imagen y pragmatismo.Tambien deja a Fidel Castro sin discurso politico y a sus actuales gobernantes sin excusa para explicar los problemas economicos de la isla,a lo menos de ahora en adelante.
Creo era una actitud muy dogmatica oponerse o condicionarla.Ademàs la resolucion en si la del año 62 fuè una aberracion juridica porque nunca se precisaron los ambiguos terminos de ir contra los principios de la OEA.
Ahora es bien posible que por medios pacificos de produzca una alternancia en el poder en la isla
que es resorte exclusivo de los mismos cubanos.No va a ser facil porque hay distintas visiones politicas.La del mundo cubano que opte por regresar a la isla.La de los cubanos de adentro que no estan de acuerdo con el regimen castrista y los que lo apoyan.
Ningun pais puede darle recetas a otro menos en lo politico y tambien en un instante que la economia està en crisis en todo el mundo y seria muy presentuoso dar recetas,incluso algunas que han hecho agua despuès de haber sido elevadas a la categorias de leyes inmutables.
Obama despues de ahora puede hacer a un USA màs creible en politica exterior e incluso un buen negocio porque Cuba con un mercado pequeño por su cercania puede ser una buena opcion de inversion.Algo que perdiò hace 46 años.
Pero lo màs importante es el aspecto humano del asunto.Muchas personas de la diadpora cubana la mayoria en Estados Unidos se les facilita los viajes a la Isla y puede producirse un reencuentro
con los cubanos que se quedaron que facilitarà una reconciliacion.
Si en el 62 se tomò una resolucion que cambió del curso de la historia esta no lo es menos.Cuba retorna al seno de los paises americanos de donde nunca debiò salir

I think it was a very dogmatic condicionarla.Ademàs or oppose the resolution if the 62 year legally was an aberration because they never explained the ambiguous terms of going against the principles of the OAS.
Now it is well possible that by means of a peaceful alternation of power in the island
which is the same exclusive cuban out residents.The way would be not be easy because there are different visions of thefuture cuban politic if them decides return to the island.That also must include inside the island the Cubans who do not agree with the Castro regime and those who support it.
No country can give to another recipe least in political and in an instant that the economy is in crisis throughout the world and would like to be unreal give recipes, including some that have made market rules being elevated to the status of immutable laws .
Obama can do now after a U.S. foreign policy more credible and even a good business with Cuba because a small market because of its proximity can be a good inversion option.Some lost 46 years ago.
But most important is the human aspect of isssue.Most of Cuban people diadpora in United States are provided with a molre easy accesto the island and may be a meeting with Cubans who stayed behind to facilitate a reconciliation.
If 62 was a resolution that changed the course of history this is a minor fact.Cuba returns to the fold of countries where Americans never had to leave .
